Is it my fault the motorcyclist tried to overtake me whilst i was overtaking another car?

When I was learning to drive I was in a line of cars behind a tractor. I was about 3 cars back from the tractor and there were about 4 cars behind me. Along came a motorcyclist and overtook the whole line. What an idiot. Why can't they abide by the rules that cars have to abide by. Next to push bikes they are the most dangerous thing on the road.
