I'm not sure who's fault it is?

It's your dad's fault, but you were being obnoxious by insisting on doing something that would keep him up. If you're a stubborn person and you do that a lot, I can understand his reaction (while still finding it over-the-top). In my house, if I'm up late and need a shower, I have to wash my hair in the bathroom sink downstairs.
