Are these apt descriptions of feisty, liberated muslim women?

An Iranian-Canadian female journalist came on tv last year and explained about the hijab that when a woman declares that it his "her" choice, it doesn't mean that she has the choice between wearing the hijab or not. It means that she has the choice between wearing the hijab or to stay confined in the house.
